The Truth of the Bible and Its Inerrancy:

Overview

  • The courses are modules- 3 to 5 week sessions.
  • They generally require about five hours of activity per week.
  • Course costs begin at $34.95 each.
  • The next session will begin the first week of October, 2011, and we are enrolling now.

Our modules are designed with the Christian in mind but can be useful for anyone interested in learning more about the foundations of the Christian faith. Who might be interested?

  • The youth director who wants to be able to answer the hard questions put to him.
  • The high school senior looking for reliable material to share with classmates.
  • The college student confronted with secular challenges to his faith and wondering why one earth he didn’t learn anything useful in Sunday School for dealing with hard nosed professors.
  • The parent who knows that if he doesn’t pass along the facts of the faith to his children, no one will.
  • The pastor who knows that apologetics is important but doesn’t know where to start.
  • The Bible student who wants to go deeper.

When you enroll, the courses will appear to be empty. Content will be visible at the appropriate time.

You may enroll in as many courses as you like however a maximum of two is suggested. For those enrolled in our certificate program, please see the maximum courses allowed here. Generally, a minimum of 5 participants is required for a course to go forward. A course enrollment fee will be refunded, or applied to a different course if so desired, if there are not enough participants. There is a maximum of 30 participants per course. If necessary, new sections of the same course will be added.

We would be happy to offer courses to whole congregations or organizations at group rates. Take your whole community through the courses at the same time.

We are looking for more modules to add. Suggestions are welcome. If you are a competent teacher and would like to propose one we’d like to hear that, too.

We also offer a ‘private group course’ program where a group has a particular group all to itself. Youth group leaders will find this option to be especially appealing. In the closed setting of the course, young men and women can interact with their youth group leader and one of our trained facilitators. We can arrange to offer the class at a time most convenient to the group. Because of the higher demands on the facilitators and administrators, there is a slightly higher cost.

Faith Statement

ACM upholds that the Scriptures are true and inspired and without error in their original autographs.

Salvation comes through faith alone but ‘works’ ought to follow. ACM accepts the three ecumenical creeds: Apostle’s, Nicene, and Athanasian. Which means essentially:

  • Belief that Jesus was both completely God and completely man.
  • God is trinitarian in nature.

ACM upholds the fact of the resurrection as the basis on which Christianity rises or falls.

ACM upholds that God created the heavens and the earth.

Nearly all of those affiliated with ACM believe in a literal, 6 day creation not very long ago. It is firmly believed that there are consequences to believing other things, however ACM prefers to emphasize the fact of the resurrection. The latent philosophical naturalism that undergirds evolutionary objections to a young earth position also undergird objections to the resurrection so why not just talk about the resurrection and philosophical naturalism?
